Best Places to Find Affordable Houses under $1 million in San Francisco

Although the housing market in San Francisco has been maintained a very high price, there are still places for people to buy their house that’s affordable in San Francisco’s neighborhoods. Neighborhoods like Bayview, Portola, Visitacion Valley, Oceanview and Ingleside have among the lowest median prices in the city.

Best Places to Find Affordable HousesThe neighborhoods with the highest number of home sales in 2016 under $1 million are Portola and the Excelsior, which have had 51 houses sold at that price range this year. The median home price in those neighborhoods are at $908,000.

Condos have become a more affordable alternative to houses, but prospective buyers may still face some sticker shock. During the first half of 2016, the median condo price is $1.1 million, with vast disparities depending on location.
