San Francisco’s office market is not only dominated by technology tenants, but also by large deals of more than 100,000 square feet that were once a rarity.
During the first quarter of 2014, tenants signed six leases above the 100,000 square foot mark and another 16 or so are out looking for that much space, indicating that 2014 could be a banner year for big deals, according to research from JLL.
Last year, only seven leases above 100,000 square feet were inked, but there were 13 in 2012. The high for the previous tech boom was nine in 2000.
