Cleantech Creates 38,600 New Jobs in Three Months

Clean energy and clean transportation companies churned out some 38,600 new jobs in the second quarter of 2013, according to Environmental Entrepreneurs, a nonprofit that tracks cleantech.

California was the top job generator in solar and other cleantech projects, ranking high along with Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Kansas, Illinois, Maryland, Missouri and Texas.

California had 12 clean energy and clean transportation projects that could create some 9,000 jobs.
