A ferry service has officially been launched between the Berkeley Marina and San Francisco’s Embarcadero Center, giving transbay commuters another option for getting to work. The service is public on Fridays and private on other weekdays, and runs four times a day.

The introduction of this ferry means that commuters will have an easier time getting to San Francisco and back, an ever-pressing need for people working in the city and the businesses that employ them. In addition, the ferry shows that the San Francisco government and business community is always ready to take the initiative to improve the lives of its residents and employees.
