Report Says: San Francisco Homes Sell Twice as Fast as U.S. Average

Demand for residential real estate in San Francisco continues to exceed national competition, signaling high homebuyer confidence in the city’s offerings.

According to a new Zillow report, SF homes spend less time on the market than homes in every other U.S. metro region, including tech industry hubs Seattle and Portland. Earlier reports from Paragon and Realtor.com place San Francisco’s list-to-sale period in line with tech competitors in the Pacific Northwest but still far shorter than the U.S. average. Housing inventory in the city is on the rise in 2016 following a sharp decrease in the last half of 2015.
