As the tourism and hotel market stays hot in San Francisco, some hotels are joining forces to offer more options for meetings and corporate events.
Hotels in Nob Hill and in Union Square have each teamed up with their neighboring hotels to host corporate events in conjunction with each other as one large event site.
Jamison Detrolio, the director of sales and business development at the Scarlet Huntington, said the reason for forming the partnership was to offer an alternative to the available corporate meeting space in the city and try to get more Bay Area corporate events booked at the hotels.
“A lot of Bay Area companies want to have their meetings here in the Bay Area, and they want to have it in San Francisco, specifically,” Detrolio said. But San Francisco’s hot technology boom is fueling an intense competition for convention spaces and meeting venues as companies jockey to lock up sites.
