A recent report has found what you already know: Millennials like San Francisco.
The city ranked fourth on Rent.com’s Best Cities for Post-Grads list, released on Friday. Rent.com cited the city’s low unemployment rate and high job postings per capita as factors behind its high ranking. San Francisco is by far the most expensive city for renters on the list, with the median rent for a two-bedroom apartment hitting $5,255.
Niccole Schreck, senior brand manager at Rent.com, said that Millennials are willing to give up space and amenities for San Francisco’s culture.
“San Francisco’s tech creds and burgeoning job market have helped to land it at the top of our Best Cities for Post-Grads list,” said Schreck, who moved to San Francisco from Los Angeles last year to advance her career. “What this city lacks in affordability, it more than makes up for in job opportunities and culture.”
