San Francisco Opens Its Largest Affordable Housing Development in Mission Bay

The largest affordable housing community, called Five 88, has been completed in Mission Bay.  

SF Opens Largest Affordable Housing DevelopmentThe rising cost of housing has been a big problem for the workforce and for families in San Francisco which means the demand for affordable lodging is immense. As the largest 100% affordable housing development in the city in more than 10 years, the Five 88 will be a positive start to support San Francisco residents. The community is located at 588 Mission Bay Blvd. North, and offers 198 one- and two-bedroom apartments for residents who earn around half the median income and have a high demand for stable affordable housing. The rent range will be from $1000 to around $1500 for one unit, and the management team has received more than 4,000 applications.
