San Francisco Rent Declines…But Little Relief

In a 2017 Mid Year Rent Trends Report from Abodo, Adobo averaged the median rents for one bedroom apartments over the span of the first six months of 2017.

Rents in San Francisco and San Jose showed a slight decline, down 1.2% and 1.8%, respectively. In contrast, rents in Oakland increased by 0.5%. While this is a positive sign for those looking to live in San Francisco, this report still shows San Francisco as the costliest market in the country, with one-bedroom flats typically renting for $3,240.
