However, an estimated 7.2 million square feet of speculative office and lab space is under construction in the Bay Area, and this space is heavily concentrated in San Francisco. These projects include Salesforce Tower (1.4 million square feet of office space) and 266,000 square feet of office and retail space that will open up in the historic Pier 70 area.
The San Francisco real estate market is far from exhausted, and businesses desiring to move here still have myriad opportunities to plant their roots and grow.
