SFO now has many more nonstop flights to cities with a tech-hub globally than any other city in the United States. Benefits to companies in San Francisco include recruiting, saving time on business trips and more possibilities in future cooperation.
United Airlines is upping its presence in San Francisco International Airport in hopes of tapping into a new class of traveler: the techie.
On July 13th, the airline inaugurated the first nonstop flight between SFO and Hangzhou, China, a burgeoning tech hub, as the latest destination in it’s push into China and other up-and-coming tech centers across the globe. Since March, the airline has opened five new nonstop international routes: Auckland, New Zealand; Tel Aviv, Israel; Singapore; Xi’an, China and now Hangzhou.
